Sept 11 was a special day for us on the street at Edgewood. Reflecting on the significance of the date in our nation's history, we stopped for a moment to think of (and thank) our many street friends who are vets and who are currently experiencing homelessness.

In August, we celebrated our first full month back

In August, we celebrated our first full month back on the street! It's been a true blessing to be able to see our old friends again, back in our old location. As of this weekend, we're serving about 50 people each Saturday.

During this time of rebuild, we are actively trying out our expanded Bridge Building program by improving our "community tailgate" in ways that invite more conversation and time to visit (just like at a tailgate). This has been a goal of ours for what seems like forever and we're so excited to be able to have some time to experiment and work on the program before our numbers get back above 150/day.

Please check out the pictures from August. We know there's been a lot of interest from sponsors and volunteers wanting to come back out and serve. We're so thankful that so many of you have reached out and we look forward to seeing you again very soon!

Bridge Building is back! As many of you know, alon

Bridge Building is back! As many of you know, along with our name change, we've been retooling our service. One of the many things we've embarked on to make this transition is to focus on our personal relationships with those experiencing homelessness. Here's @juliepsutton and Christa Sharpe getting to know two people who are new to us and our Chairman Bill Sutton welcomes an old friend back to say hello and catch up.

Day 3 of our return! Yesterday we served about 40 people in the Old Fourth Ward. It's going to take a lot of effort to get the word out that we're back doing what we love but we're having so much fun in the meantime!

Dave has been one of the most loyal and dedicated friends of FTHP throughout (and before) the pandemic. We couldn’t have made it without you, Dave.
