For The Hope Partnership is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2007. What began as a small group of friends who occasionally flipped pancakes on a street corner in downtown Atlanta has grown into an organization that faithfully serves those in need every Saturday morning.

Over the years, FTHP has served tens of thousands of breakfasts and has provided thousands of community service opportunities for sponsors and volunteers. But more important for our friends in need, FTHP has been a dependable bright spot in their lives – something to look forward to, week after week – a hot breakfast, some friendly conversation, and warm hearts.

What We Do

For the past 15 years we have been meeting people in need where they are and serving up a hot breakfast with the help of sponsor organizations and volunteers. Our primary service location is a parking lot on Edgewood Avenue in the Old Fourth Ward. We pour juice and coffee and bring a mobile grill to cook up eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, kielbasa and our world-famous cheese grits. We set up tables and chairs and join our guests to hear about their week and what lies ahead. It’s all about trying to make someone’s day a little better.

Sponsorship

Our primary funding source is through sponsorships of our weekly breakfast feedings. Any company, community group, church or even a group of neighborhood friends or family members can donate $1,000 to create a meaningful, hands-on community service event.

We serve every Saturday at our Edgewood location:

You and your group of 10-13 volunteers will help us prepare and serve a hot breakfast outdoors to our friends on the street. Plus, you’ll get a chance to meet those we serve and hear their stories.

We meet on-site at 7:30am and are packed up and finished by 9am.

We Our ♥ Volunteers

Volunteer with us

We need volunteers nearly every Saturday. We invite you to serve alongside us on the street for an up close and personal experience with our friends in need. We start at 7:30am and you’ll help us prepare and serve a hot breakfast. Plus, you’ll get a chance to meet those we serve and hear their stories.

You’ll be finished by 9:00am at the latest and we guarantee it will change your day and perhaps your life! We invite you to download an award-winning essay from a Georgia high school student titled ‘How My Acts of Service Helps Me Understand What My Community Means to Me” to see what we mean! You can download it here

If you’re interested in volunteering or want more information, please fill out the form below and we’ll send you an email when we have volunteer opportunities.

We love our partners

We have ambitions to go beyond breakfast and find ways to make positive, meaningful, and enduring impact in the lives of our friends on the street. To do this, we are actively seeking out and collaborating with other nonprofit organizations – acting as a bridge to essential services that improve lives – medical care, mental illness and addiction counseling, housing, childcare, transportation, education, job training, job placement and more.

Current partners include Crossroads Community Ministries, Partners for Home/Atlanta Continuum of Care, Gateway Center, Atlanta Mission, Hunger Has No Religion and Lady T’s Ministry.
